The women who are part of our Rose Circles Project come from varied backgrounds with little or no training. Some of these women are HIV positive. Their husbands have died and they are bringing up the children on their own: many have been kicked out of their homes. Other women have become the breadwinners for their families as many of their husbands have suffered huge losses due to chemical farming which no longer provides the yields they have had in the past. There are also many widows, young widows whose husbands have died or have committed suicide because of mounting debts, borrowed at very high interest rates with no way to repay.

We provide opportunities for marginalized women to make products that use recycled materials, that are sustainable, beautiful, which inspire others, which are sold at a fair price to benefit everyone in the chain.
